STEM Promotion Program
When we look at young people, we see zeal and excitement. However, regardless of how passionate they are, young people must be taught and guided to make the best use of their passion. STEM education, which combines science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, assists us in addressing the world’s current challenges. The current trend of mass unemployment in Nigeria shows that school-based science and technology education may not fully prepare Nigerian graduates to function productively in society. Our STEM promotion program encourages excellence in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics and assists young people in achieving personal and professional growth as they prepare for careers.
ACILD and NEF (Next Eistein Forum) collaboration for African Science Week 2018 and 2019
Through our STEM program, more than 2000 adolescents have been exposed to practical aspects of science and technology, as well as inspired to a world of practical STEM applications that extend beyond the walls of their classrooms.
In 2019, a similar science outreach program to 2018 was organized. Over 350 students from five private secondary schools and twenty-six public secondary schools in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) attended the event. The event was hosted by the Nile University of Nigeria.
The activities that took place included Boot-camp Workshops, Science and cocktail, Robotics competition, and coding challenge. Twelve experts from Techquest and WAAW Foundation were hired to facilitate the workshop on Robotics, digital electronics, website design, Arduino programming, and renewable energy.
Our goal is to expose students to practical aspects of science and technology and inspire them to a world practical application in STEM that are beyond the walls of their classrooms
Our Collaboration with Techquest for the Google CS First Program
