Obidimma Ezezika

Chair, Advisory Board

Prof. Ezezika is the Chair, Advisory board of the African Center for Innovation and Leadership Development. He is also a member of the faculty at the University of Toronto and the Ontario Tech University in Canada. Over the past 15 years, Prof. Ezezika has led international research teams through a variety of international organizations including the United Nations Development Program, Canada’s International Development Research Centre and the Sandra Rotman Centre for Global Heath on taking evidenced-based interventions to scale. His research interests lie at the nexus of implementation science, food security and global health and he was the recipient of the Next Einstein Award for his emerging work in the field of implementation science. He is the co-author of the recent 3rd edition of the book, An Introduction to Global Health and the recipient the inaugural University of Toronto Global Educator Award, which recognizes faculty members who embody the University’s global mission and profile. As a former Grand Challenges Fellow, Prof. Ezezika brings collaborative and internationally recognized leadership to innovative and leading-edge research on taking interventions to scale to improve health equity outcomes. He has a PhD in Microbiology from the University of Georgia and master’s in environmental management from Yale University.
